today was the long awaited match, Furnix vs Neptune. furnix played lone striker for the first half so i wasnt in first team. first half we dominated as neptune played the liverpool-esque style, getting 10 men behind the ball. and soon we scored from a free kick by shawn. yeah and neptune den got a lucky break , den came the corner. yorkyong right place at right time headed it in. 1-1. weisheng den had his header superbly cleared off the line if not we would have been leading. also was the 1 on 1 chance dovanson had vs jiajun, dova shot straight at him if not goal liao. then came the incident, weisheng got the ball and was abt to round jiajun when jiajun bravely but foolishly came out in an attempt to get the ball, in the end he tripped weisheng (red card offence) , furthermore injuring himself due to his stupidity. luckily is friendly match only, so wilson replaced him in goal. here came mingwei's goal, he took the ball to the edge of the penalty area before launching a shot wilson could not save. 2-1 to furnix, it could have been 4-1. Half time. 2nd half weisheng mingwei and zhaoxiang didnt want to play cause they wanted to rest for the ncc vs scouts match tmr. so me weisiong and leonard replaced them. junxuan and shawn did not play as well due to the heavy rain that came. we had this goal disallowed when leonard scored vs wilson but duno wad la, referee say break so goal disallowed. den when play was restarted, weisiong also had his shot dipping into goal and wilson could not tip it over, if real goal post confirm is goal liao loh. but referee gave a corner for it, it seemed such bad luck for us. we had so many such decisions going against us. as half of our team was gone (Zx, mw, tanu, ws, jx) we played a 4-5-1 formation to squeeze out neptune's attack and we did really well too, we held on till the end of the match. furnix wins 2-1. The scoreline definitely DISGUISED the whole match, considering the ncc members of our team was conserving energy for tmr's match, and also in 2nd half, half of our team was gone, and the decisions were all against us. we were so unlucky, it could have been 4-1 or 5-1 to us if we were playing in the real pitch with goal posts and the referee had wore his specs. ah but credit to neptune also, nice defending at times, although most of attacking work was done by guo en. wahaha our keeper only touched the ball twice in the first half, shows our dominance.
