okie its been a long time since i blogged. gonna talk abt yesterday. furnix vs Nexus . yeah initially fabian said that the odds of us winning is $50, while the odds of nexus winning is 50 cents. wad he meant was. we were doomed. well,that wasnt the case against the team that beat us 8-0 and 9-1 before. captain ah zhao and tanu put me on the left wing to torment their right back benjamin. lmao right from the start we already "scored" thru our Frisnd12 Weisiong. but according to the super incompetent linesman Lester, he ruled out the goal. unfortunately, nexus scored through their ever-so-effective striker Ivan aka Bergkamp. but their lead onyl lasted.. 5 mins? lol we counter attacked den jiun hoe scored thru an extremely tight angle which there was much controversy whether it really went in or not. the other linesman, fabian saw it as a goal. 1-1. game on. i was charging the left flank while weisheng gave me a through pass and it was 1 on 1. me against the keeper. shit i shld have scored but the ball hit his head and it rebounded to jiun hoe who hit it in anyway. 2-1. well at least i assisted haha. 5 mins before halftime, Nexus's last man Yun hong attempted a lousy dribble past Weisheng but got tackled, laeving WS with an easy task of tapping it into the net. by then the NeXus keeper raymond was already fuming and shouting vulgarities all over, even threatening the poor referee, Guo en. lolz 3-1. just at the stroke of half time, Ivan took a corner and the kick went straight into the net. poor goal keeping by soh yixiu. anyway hafta give him credit. he did make a few good saves. 3-2. Half time. 2nd half nothing but a lacklustre display from both sides, my left leg cramped and i had to go off. left ard 15 minutes. we held on till the end, not a stroll in the park though. Nexus had a few good chances and if it not were for soh and defence, the score would have been level. dats abt all. OH YA. fabian initially said he bet on nexus to win, meant that he OWE US 50 BUCKS lol. after the match, he nothing to say liao den he in the end say " i betted on Furnix." lmao liar. aiya forget it. its a gd day to remember. beating the team that we feared and respected for so long. =) anyway thanks to u noe who for wishing me luck be4 the match. ^^
